A symbol of the distillery's values, Armorik Double Maturation highlights both the quality of its know-how and its roots in the Breton terroir. It is aged in unique oak casks from the Breton forests, made by the last cooper in Brittany. After several years, the whisky is transferred into oloroso sherry casks. A very fine balance between the fruity notes of mirabelle plums and citrus, with spicy vanilla highlights. A very smooth and rounded attack of honey, the product's complexity is revealed with notes at the same time spicy, lightly woody with ripe fruit in generous volume. Very long, with notes of spices, biscuit and marmalade.
Matured in French oak as well as former oloroso Sherry casks (hence its name), this whisky has pleasant honey and fresh pear aromas. The flavor profile is drier than the aromas suggest, with a forward resiny note that's followed by hints of cedar, tea, oak and vanilla, plus a modest amount of smoke.
