Ripe nose of buttered stone fruit, banana and pears. Honey and rose water with delicate citrus accents. Silky and full on the palate. Lightly toasted bread with fresh butter and marmalade. Long finish with lingering toast and burnt sugar notes morphing into rich malt and wood flavors with counterbalancing acidity.
Finished in ex-Bourbon casks, this dark amber Texas single malt has a thick, syrupy scent, evoking caramel and root beer. Although the alcohol level is palate-numbingly boozy, the flavors are interestingly complex and dry, showing cocoa, leather and espresso.
