Highland Park Ice Single Malt Scotch Whisky 17 year oldA special bottling of only 30,000 bottles which delves into the world of classic Norse mythology. In bespoke blue coloured glass reflecting dazzling and glittering ice, the bottle shape has been designed especially to evoke the distinctive sharpness and coolness of the Ice Realm. The bottle is encased in a stunning mountain shaped, oak wood cradle with wooden stopper. The circle design of the glass represents the circle of life - the creation of the world, protected by a serpent, a mythical creature central to classic Norse mythology. Tasting Notes Colour: Naturally radiant and vivid in colour; glacial, mirror-like brightness Nose: Vivid aromas of cool, fresh pineapple and ripe mango sorbet come to life - in this celebration of glacial character. Silvery shards of smoke give way to the frosty kick of root ginger. Palate: Like the Ice Giants themselves, the palate is powerful yet mellifluous. In true Highland Park style, the combination of an silvery, misty peat smoke is inter-twined with pearlescent vanilla seeds and overtones of molten orris root . Finish: Beautifully balanced, the creamy, rich, oily finish snowballs into long lingering woodiness and dry, feverish spices, providing a scintillating and harmonious whisky to savour.

Highland Park The Light 17 year oldLight and dark are concepts that exist in opposition, yet together create a perfect balance. One cannot exist without the other; as one appears, the other disappears; together they create something greater than themselves - in nature, a perfect, continuous cycle. In THE LIGHT- a special release of only 28,000 bottles - we celebrate spring and summer in Orkney; a time to emerge from our winter's hibernation, renewed and refreshed with a spring in our step, ready to embrace the warm bright days of summer. Presented in a beautifully embossed green glass bottle, the serpent dragon design takes its inspiration from the great Norse sagas and embraces both the high sun of the summer solstice and the low sun of the winter solstice - the polar opposites of our island seasons - while the runic writing reflects the ancient carvings of our Viking ancestors which can still be seen today, here in Orkney. Natural Cask-Driven Color (No Additives): Light golden (average colour tint 7.0) Flavors of caramelized pear, nutmeg, vanilla, peat, cedar wood, oak, light smoke.
Highland Park Valknut Single Malt Scotch WhiskyCreated using a higher proportion of our local peated malt and predominantly matured in sherry seasoned oak casks to give this whisky its smoky, sweet flavour, VALKNUT is the second in our Viking Legend series, celebrating our rich Nordic ancestry here on Orkney. Valknut means 'knot of those slain in battle' and its symbol of three interlinked triangles appears on numerous artefacts from the Viking Age. The symbol is closely associated with the Norse god, Odin, who guided the spirits of the dead to the underworld and back to the world of the living, and is believed to represent the transition from life to death or the connection between earthly life and heavenly life. Background: According to legend, Vikings who met a fine and honourable death were marked out by the symbol of the Valknut and spirited away from the mortal world to the heavenly realm of Valhalla. Color: Light and golden (average colour tint 10.5). Flavor: Toasted vanilla pods, Cracked black pepper, Oak shavings, Cloves, Aniseed, Aromatic peat smoke.
