Bourbon Street Wine & Spirits Shipping Policy

Age Requirement

The purchase of alcohol by persons under the age of 21 is prohibited by law. You must be at least 21 years old to purchase wine or spirits. By placing an order through our website, you are representing yourself to us as at least 21 years of age and that the person to whom it is being shipped is at least 21 years old. We reserve the right to ask for proof of identity before processing an order.

Title to the wine you order passes to you as soon as it leaves our doors; it is up to you to know the relevant laws in your state.

An adult signature with proof of age verification is required at time of delivery. Please be aware that someone over the age of 21 must be available to sign for the package. If no one is available at the time of delivery, the package will not be left.

Because of this, we suggest you ship to a work address. We cannot ship to PO Boxes or APO addresses. We cannot ship to Hotel Guests.

Carrier and Delivery Times

We ship Ground, Next Day Air, and 2nd Day Air via FedEx:

  • Ground Service - approximately 1-6 business days in transit
  • 2nd Day Air - 2 business days in transit
  • Next Day Air - 1 business day in transit

In calculating transit times, shipping companies do not count the day the item is picked up. Under normal circumstances, most orders will be processed the day following your online order. We can usually ship your order within 2 to 4 days (not including holidays and weekends) after it has been processed. Depending on your location, your order will be an additional 1-5 business days in transit. If there will be a delay longer than that, we will contact you immediately via email. During times of extremely hot or cold weather, we recommend using 2nd Day or Next Day shipping to avoid having your order be exposed to the extremes of hot and cold for an extended period in transit. Please Note: We are not responsible for wine that arrives damaged due to heat or cold, so please plan accordingly when you choose your shipping option.

Restricted States

Please note that some states have laws on the shipment of alcohol that prohibit us from shipping to addresses in those states. View Restricted States.
Bourbon Street Wine and Spirits does NOT ship internationally.

Billing Information

Orders placed on this website are not final. Your credit card is not charged automatically. A charge is put on your credit card after the product has been packed and the order is deemed complete. Please note that all credit cards are verified. You must provide a billing address that corresponds to the credit card you are using. If the billing address does not match the credit card you will be informed and the order will not be processed until we hear from you.

Shipping and Handling Costs

The shipping costs are automatically calculated at the time the order is placed. PART OF THE SHIPPING COST IS THE MANDATORY ADULT SIGNATURE CHARGE THAT IS REQUIRED BY FEDEX TO SHIP ALCOHOL. If you would like to know the shipping cost to a particular area please select your items and enter your zip code in the shopping cart. Prices of our wines do not include shipping/handling charges, which vary depending on destination, number of bottles ordered and choice of delivery options. A 20% mixed case discount (with the exception of items on sale) is applied to your purchase.

Legal Disclaimer

The buyer assumes title of the wines once purchased. By arranging for transportation of the wine, we are providing a service to and acting on behalf of the purchaser. We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import any wines into any state. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of wine and other goods purchased and for determining the legality and the tax/duty consequences of having the wine shipped to him or her.

Non-New Jersey residents are responsible for determining whether they may lawfully import alcoholic beverages into their state. We make no representation relative to your right to import wine or spirits into your state. Each state has its own rules about alcoholic beverages and wine delivery. You may want to check with the appropriate agency in your state or county. If, between the date of order and date of arrival, the alcohol laws of your state change so as to make it illegal for you to import your wine shipment , you can return the order for a full refund. You will, however, be charged for shipping and handing of the alcohol product. Bourbon Street Wine and Spirits will arrange for shipment on behalf of the buyer, to an address specified by the buyer, provided that Bourbon Street Wine and Spirits in its sole judgment believes that such shipment will not subject Bourbon Street Wine and Spirits to the risk of any sort of legal action or other harm. If a buyer lives in a state where the direct shipment of wine, beer, or spirits by Bourbon Street Wine and Spirits violates the law, we suggest that the buyer provide an alternative address in another state or have their wine shipped to a third-party storage facility in a direct wine, beer, or spirit shipping-friendly state.
Any wine, beer, or spirit sold to you through Bourbon Street Wine and Spirits is sold in New Jersey and title passes to you, the buyer, in New Jersey. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of wine, beer, or spirits. We make no representations concerning your legal rights to ship or receive wine, beer or spirits into any state outside New Jersey. In fact there are certain states we cannot ship to. By placing this order, you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to your selected designation.
